Going back to basics - World Environment Day
Do you remember your World Environment Day celebration at school? Where we felt really bad for our mother earth and put posters for saving it from plastics. Wonderful innocent times, isn't it? But from there when the rat race of greed begins, we become selfish and sell out our planet without regret. Look at the mess industrialization created over the years. Having said that countries like India cannot stop development until we improve the quality of life of citizens. But the developed ones can do so. They can start showing the way by reducing their carbon footprint on that. Even in India, southern states, and northeastern states can show how co-existing with our environment is important for our future. But don't you think we should start with what we learned at school? I was angry and shocked to see how irresponsible even the privileged when it comes to being responsible. I saw a young driving the car throwing his "LAYS" packet out of the car without a second thought...
